I recently graduated from Yale University with degrees Physics and Statistics & Data Science. I am broadly interested in emergent phenomena in biological systems with a specific interest in neural computation and biological networks. At the moment, I am working with Prof. Christopher Lynn (Yale) to characterize the functional properties of neural connectome networks. We are particularly interested in motivating the distribution of synaptic strength in these networks. I am also working with Prof. Jun Korenaga (Yale) to understand the emergence and dynamics of autocatalytic reaction networks in Kauffman networks, a pre-biotic chemical model. In the past I have worked with Prof. Gregory Laughlin (Yale) to construct geophysical models of the VIX index as a function of populace fear and uncertainty. I have also worked with Prof. Nicholas Christakis (Yale) to predict COVID-19 infection rates and Prof. Michael Dickey (NC State) to engineer room temperature liquid metal thin films. In addition to my scientific research, I briefly worked with the Yale Policy Lab to evaluate the efficacy of adopting a state infrastructure bank in Connecticut.
Outside of research, I am a quantitative trader at IMC Financial Markets, but have experience in strategy & management consulting and data science. In the summer of 2022, I worked at a Benjamin Maurice, a consulting firm specializing in private equity due dilligence, fintech and growth strategy. Before that, I interned at Lantern Pharma, an oncology drug discovery company, and as a volunteer political data analyst through BlueBonnet Data. I am also passionate about education and have experience as a teaching assistant for Yale’s S&DS 365/665: Intermediate Machine Learning, S&DS 363/563: Multivariate Statistics for Social Sciences, and S&DS 238/538: Bayesian Statistics and Probability. Outside of the classroom, I danced as part of Yale Jashan Bhangra, one of Yale’s Indian dance groups, and enjoy cooking, and reading in my free time.
